Well, it's 15 volts.  In order to use that and not over current the LED's, just stick about six diodes in series with the output, that will drop the voltage to around 12 volts.  In truth, you can probably use the 15 volts as I have observed that with 12V, a full 5-meter 300 LED string at 15 volts still doesn't draw 2 amps, that's what you should be seeing if the current to each LED was 20ma.
