I think I am mixed up on the tilting advice given here...tilting engine forward (lifting up at cab) is good to get fluid to dynamo; and lifting backward (lifting at pilot) is good for getting fluid to whistle steam? And, how long to hold in tilt position(s)? Am surmising holding at 45 degree angles?

FWIW: dynamo smoke works great in my Challenger - both from dynamo and blow-down - which are both constantly streaming; main stacks work very good; but nothing from whistle steam, or at least I cannot detect anything.

No need to tilt for whistle steam.

Lift cab to help dynamo.
Never had any issue with the whistle steam. Just to be sure. Cab light doesn’t blink correct
