I used a Stiff, short-bristled, what the hardware stores call an " Acid-Brush," because their used for applying paste / liquid acids in " Soldering." The key, is STROKING the Silicone in a STRAIGHT, DOWNWARD motion. The only bit of " texturing," would be where the water falls, hits the rocks below. And even then, I just LIGHTLY POKE it. That's really, " it ."
