I like the realism of lightly weathered scale/semi-scale trains on a detailed layout.

That said, I like Warrenville's postwar Lionel's to be clean and bright and would never weather them.

Learning about and sharing our different preferences is a good part of what makes visiting the layouts and collections of others, and reading the postings on this forum, most enjoyable.
