Steve, thanks for the lead. If all else fails, that sounds like a good route to go. I am in northern NJ but I am willing to travel a bit!
John, I tried a reset using the 8 code again and the engine worked back and forth for a moment then quit. I did toggle the lights off with the aux2 button but they will not come back on. I did one function out of each coupler. If I do the system reset, the locomotive does nothing until I press the aux1 button. It starts up the sound, but nothing else functions. I don't have another R2LC, so I would consider buying one if I cannot get this one to work...
