Rather than throw the car bodies away, wait until the next show and take them there and put them on the "free table".
Note: I once bought some Weaver two-bay hoppers with trucks and couplers for one! dollar each at show. Surprisingly, at the end of the show the seller still had about eight left (without T&C) that I decided to get just for the frames.
