A note about Weaver trucks, plastic side frames and metal wheels. We had several cars, used on the Fort Pitt High Rail layout with these trucks. Easiest, but costly, correction was to replace the trucks with Weaver metal frame/metal wheel trucks.

We did a correction on many of the plastic frame/metal wheel trucks by simply changing the placement of the wheels on the axles. (A wider spacing), corrected the de-railing problem.

Pretty nice stuff available for small dollars. IMO. Mike CT
