It's a classic ALCO engine built right here in Schenectady.

The last steam engine built there. And since the tender shop was being converted to build diesels ALCO farmed out the tender builds to LIMA. The Boiler section has the ALCO builder"s Plate and the Tender has the LIMA builder's plate. But in ALCO publicity photos the LIMA plate was brushed out!
