I buy all different eras of freight cars. That's where the big problem comes in mixing them and different scales of each. I'll have a couple of big consists outside where one might be a coal drag and another a mixed freight. The next session I may put them together to create a bigger train. All the cars and eras get mixed in. When a larger modern car made in the larger 1/29 scale, gets next to an older era smaller car made in the smaller 1/32, it can look much worse. It still can be prototypical!
