In Britain in the 1890s there was a Railway race to the North from London to Scotland. The competing locomotives were amongst others the Precedent class from the LNWR (London and North Western Railway) and the Stirling Single from the GNR (Great Northern Railway). I re-enacted this race in gauge 1 this afternoon with two ASTER live steam models:

Of course there was not a winner!
