I didn't realize the paint job was incorrect. When I was at TCA this year a vendor had a new MTH Wabash and S&A heritage unit for sale. They were both priced well below the market value. I purchased the Wabash. I'm not sure why it was so cheap. However; my guess on the S&A is that nobody wanted them because of the incorrect paint job.

I recall your detailed comments in the older threads. I too kept my MTH version for similar reasons and then bought the Lionel from my same dealer so I'd have a better looking version to run. Painful on the wallet, but the right thing to do. Hopefully a certain manufacturer might do the right thing too...
