Reply to "Weekend Photo Fun 9-24-20-?"

Have been working on scratch building a rather unique caboose that was used on a local short line railway. From the plans and photos I have finished all the sides cutting out the windows etc. with a knife from patterns I made up. Now the real challenge I need to match a curved roof flush to the angled cupola windows. I picked up a chunk of curved PVC for a vertical house blind. It has a near perfect curve for the roof. I now need to cut the sections at an angle to get the right curve to match.

Here are some trains I was running on the outdoor garden railway. The C&O Challenger is a K-Line pulling a string of C&O and B&O cars and nicely detailed K-Line caboose. And my Rio Grande train, I really liked this paint scheme and had picked up a LionChief FT B unit so I  custom painted an old Atlas 1970's F9 O scale model to match as closely as I could and removed the motor and gears. It has LED headlight and a speaker mounted in a cardboard tube in the A unit for better sound more bass sound. Wires run to the powered B unit LionChief board for the sound. I custom painted some of the C&O and RG freight cars like the 2 silver/orange box cars from old 2 rail Atlas 1970's box cars. I really like the bright colors of the C&O and Rio Grande trains.
