Reply to "Weekend tinplate photos/videos 11/15/18!"

My wife picked up this cheap plastic Christmas train from Wal-Mart as a gag gift for my birthday. It turned out to be O gauge! The couplers are similar to Marx knuckle couplers and will hook up with the Marx couplers. Also tab and slot couplers seem to work with them as well.

The coaches have some kitbashing possibilities. I may buy myself another set just for the cars! It only cost $10!  LOL

Here's the train on the layout. Locomotive isn't worth mentioning. It only runs when you turn it upside down.IMG_20181117_185255

Here's the passenger cars being pulled by a Marx 898 and 4 wheel tender.IMG_20181117_185457

The electric poles can be used on the layout as well as the signs that came with the set. The track seems decent. It may work as a substitute for the plastic track in some Marx battery and windup sets.
