Several years ago when I first started to visit this site regularly , there were almost dally posts from others about there Marx trains as well as some of the other smaller tinplate trains such as Hafner , Flyer etc.
At the time we here were in a state of flux , My wife's health was seriously deterring , work was a nightmare and i drew a lot of inspiration as well as hope from those posts and pictures that others were kind enough to share.-
Just recently there were several posts from members about getting there collections displayed.Being newly retired it gave me the spark I needed to order some of the Snyder shelving and after years , get the trains out for display . { pictures coming }
i understand how all things change with time , maybe those were the heydays I don't know . I just know I miss seeing them and hearing about the joy the hobby was meant to be.
