I took my daughter on a tour of the USS Midway just to give her an idea of how I lived and worked when I was a BT in the Navy (USS Morton DD948). She was absolutely horrified.

Last year I took my grandson and wife up to the Intrepid in NYC to check out how my Navy life was. I was on the Shangri-La, the same class of carrier. We also did the USS Growler tour, it's part of the Intrepid Museum complex. Worthwhile tour if you are in the area.
