Very interesting, very dedicated!
I think this just takes the new prize in terms of similar discussions that rise up here every so often (think the last one (or resurrection of a previous one) was only a week or 2 ago): "Should I try to sell my house with the train layout still in it?".
While there are probably quite a few more people with Navy background than interest in model trains, I'm guessing finding someone who want's a Navy issue urinal as part of the functional plumbing is not something you are likely to stumble across in the real estate market. 
Still a very cool project though. And he finally got to build his train layout too.
