Well guys I am going to make this short and sweet. I got out to the train room, got the crane all wired and set up, ran power to it and everything works. The only problem is the gears don't sound like they are meshing very well. So when I get a break later today from working on the house I will see if there is something I can do!
If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them! Here is a shot video of it in action!

The gears definitely need to be greased, not graphited. But before you do that, put a drop of oil on each end of the motor's armature - betcha that will stop the noise … then you can grease the gears
