I received my Lionel Z transformer and I am very pleased with it. So far I have switched all the accessories that were on the 1033 transformer to the Z which required lengthening all the wires and placing new terminal connectors on the ends. Next I have to remount a few accessory switches and make some Wiring look neater. What a difference the Z transformer makes in accessory operation. Now all the accessories operate smoothly and with power to spare! The next job will be reducing the accessory load from my Lionel ZW and move them to the Z. Doing this will give me more reserve on the ZW to just run power hungry postwar engines.
