John, please see an eye doctor soonest! Macular degeneration can present like this and there is now treatment. My wife noticed loss of vision in the lower right quadrant and it turned out to be [wet] MD. She receives an eye injection monthly and the progress of the disease has been arrested. Had she caught it sooner the lost vision might have been completely restored. Medicare covers the cost, other than a $15 office-visit copay.
