I put together an oil well for the Plywood Empire Route. The PER is loosely themed on the Oil Creek and Titusvile Railroad and Titusville is in the heart of the original oil boom country so it fits.

I cranked up my imagineering and combined a Lionel [working] pump-jack, part of an MTH modern tank car and catwalks with lights from a Lionel oil storage tank. Plus some cardboard, glue and a bit of felt. Also covered a tunnel into the sewing room with a photo of one of the Royal Gorge Domes.
