I finally completed the lake feature on the Chicagoland lionel railroad club's layout. Painted the surface brown and black, then I highlighted the waves with white and silver acrylics. Finally everything got 3 coats of high gloss water based poly to bring out the wet look.
I added a fishing boat along with the yellow submarine. Both had to have their bottoms cut off to make them waterline models. Hope you like them.

The water color came out great, it looks just like the Fox River near me. The ripples around the sub are great to.
