The DZ1000 instruction sheet gives you the options for adding 1K resistors. Solder two resisters together. Run a ground wire to the middle of the resisters where you just soldered. Hook one end of one resister to the "L" on the Z1000 and the end of the other resister to the "R" on the Z1000.
