Finally finished getting my MiniToys eBay find up and running. Judging by the handmade trim (Strathmore destination sign and pilot; wood strips [!!!] as the stripes), a previous owner was a Pacific Electric fan of sorts...

After a year or so of fiddling with the mechanical crossing gate at Clarksville, I finally got disgusted with the little indefinite and wired up a contact so that both tracks activate whatever electric gate is in service there...

Fortescue is duly impressed.

As befits her running gear's origins as a Lionel 646 Hudson, The Powerful Katrinka has been running smoothly and, well, powerfully!
