An old friend was in from out of town and stopped by along with his wife. I spent about an hour before they arrived, getting the layout whipped back into operating condition. I haven't done much running since the open house back at the end of April, my time has almost all been spent on construction.

Things went pretty well, the engine I chose had a few signal related hiccups, but made it all the way around. I goofed and forgot to flip a crossover back to straight, and ended bumping into a parked passenger train. No harm done, except a bruised ego and some minor embarrassment. We all had a bit of a chuckle. Backed it up, threw a different crossover, and completed the run.

It's a lot of fun having the hidden yard controls moved into the dispatch corner!

I'm still having a little trouble with the turnouts in the yard since the panel move. I'll just have to figure out what the problem is. I have a few ideas.

Elliot- could it be voltage drop due to the longer wire? That would be the first thing I'd check.
