Tonight I ran trains to make sure all the track was correct and the trains ran fine! Was reading some posts about layouts and a statement by a guy about not liking lift gates or swing gates gave me a pretty good idea! I'm going to raise the two mainlines I am running on now. Then build another loop or three where it is now with smaller radius turns and do loop to loop track plan. I can duck under the 38.5 height duck under now. The upper mains will cross over at 49 inched if I raise it 7. I used to do metal fab so I have the equipment and skill to build a steel bridge similar to the one Eric's Trains has. So take away the 2x4 and plywood, and add 7 or so inches.. I can add 11 inches to the height I have to duck under.. : ) What do yall think?
