Reply to "What did you do on your layout today?"

Been busy away from the train room for the past week and weekend.   My daughter is finally home after 5 months of "study abroad" in Japan.  Picked her up last Thurs night late, and brought her back to college Friday AM, then home for the weekend.

Anyway, it hit 60 degrees in Boston, MA today.  Decided to get out some of the (30),  Ameri-towne Wall Sections I picked up last week on ebay, and start spray painting, doing multi-color brick work, and sealing with flat clear coat.    I'll post some photos tomorrow, or Thursday.

Also building a set of "open concrete" arches to support a factory over the West Bound Arrival Departure track in the back corner of the layout.    I got all the arches and support beams cut, Phase 1 (front elevation) glued, and I will be rabbet cutting it tonight so I can hide the 1/4 inch luan floor for the building, then tomorrow I can finish gluing the 2 sides of the arch supports at the proper angles as the pad isn't square...

Brian,  So sorry to hear about the back injury.   Having a 40 year history of lumbar spinal disk issues, herniated, bulging and degenerated disks, and one surgery in 2002,  I am a total believer in using "ice packs" as well as ibuprofen and tylenol.   I have 3 ice packs, and have been driving to work with one everyday for the past 9 years.  Hope you get some relief.

Paul:  Read your post and saw what looks like the "Pennsy Stone Block Walls"....  For some color ideas, review the post below.   It includes photos and a pretty detailed set of instructions on colors I used and the steps I took to do it.
