I recently acquired a set of PRR ALCO's that had some paint splatter on the shells (plastic, not tin). I found that Bug and Tar remover applied with Q-tips worked well. Didn't think of the Dremmel though.

Interesting, I've never really tried any solevents on my trains to remove the paint.
I do have some gel paint remover in the shop, would that work well for removing added paint from lithiographed/enameled trains?
