Lee, great photos thanks for sharing the back story and photo on the restoration.
Larry, thanks for your kind words, always great to see photos of your beautiful layout.
Mike G: I feel for you. We had the winter from hell a couple of years ago with multiple 2 to 3 foot storms. Do they sell "roof rakes" out there ? I had one when I lived in Maine, and finally got rid of it.... Of course the next winter we had a record breaking 110 inches of snowfall LOL
Mark - Glad to hear the back is healing and you're starting serious construction on the new layout.
After taking 2 days off to do "life stuff" I am back working on my kitbash.... Doesn't look like much progress, but at least all 4 floors are glued together now, everything is square and plum... the 1/4 inch MDF base plate is cut and notched, and the interior Framework is about 1/2 way done. It's all quarter-sawed oak 1/4 x 1/4 inch beams and the joists are leftover mahogany scraps, from window restorations....
Found a really cool HO scale set of mixing tanks that I bought at the Big E show for $2.00... Had to do some repairs to it as it was poorly assembled, but it looks good on top of the 2nd story roof...
