Reply to "What did you do on your layout today?"

Brian, Yes the crane looks neat.  I have one that needs some work, but it will sit until the layout is well on it's way.  Maybe when I retire.

Bob, Good advice, and the front fascia and fill is looking great!  If you make it too pretty, you won't want to take any off to expand!

I did a little bit of work putting in the little brackets that hold the table top to the Mianne.  I had been on hold for a while as I contemplated different ideas of how I wanted to extend my table top to support the turnback loops.  I'll go into that in more detail later when I have some photographs to go with it.  Nothing earth shattering for sure!!  I have been a bit slow getting over this flu/virus/whatever.  I put off visiting my aunt and parents at their personal care homes this week.  I didn't want to carry something in those places.

I do not know if I will be going back to work at the company I have worked at for the past 22 years.  They just aren't coming up with budget money to do projects they said they needed me for.  So I have put some more time in this week looking for something else.  A lot of the jobs that are similar to part of my 43 years experience require lifting and/or crawling under things.  Well, I can't do that on demand anymore with my sciatic nerve and bad knee.  Maybe 42 years is why I can't now.    So, time will tell if I find something or just decide to sign up for Social Security and maybe pick up some odd work here and there.  Odd work!!  That is exactly what an odd guy is qualified for!

Anyway, I am planning on doing a little more on getting that table top fastened down.  Keep it up everyone!!!
