Reply to "What did you do on your layout today?"

Bob, The edges of the layout are looking good!

Paul, Your waterfalls are taking shape nicely!  They look wet!

Lee, Very nice color and uniformity.

NS6770Fan, the new layout table looks sturdy and I'm glad to see a train running already!

Lew, the remote box looks handy!  Keep them right where you know where they are.

I glued down the cork roadbed on my lower loop.  The track is just sitting on top.  I want to go to the hardware store and get some shorter screws that only penetrate the Homasote and not the OSB also.  It will just be a test to see if I think the vibration of the train isn't transferred to the table.  I run trains at fairly low volume, usually 30-40%, so I want to hear the high end sound systems.

I also took inventory of my track and switches.  I see I need one switch, a left hand 054/072 curved Ross switch.  I have a right hand one that I bought for the old plan.  I'll keep it around until I'm sure I won't use it then see what I have I want to sell.  You can see in this high angle view the upside down right hand one in position, where I laid out pieces to show me how the track will fit.  I placed an online order with CT McCormick in nearby Zelienople.  I'll pick it up next week when I visit my aunt.  I saw Jeff has a Premier Western Maryland 2-bay hopper I don't have, so I added it to the order.
