I made this video for a post I started when I was having difficulty with the new Lionel 86' Boxcars. After oiling the kinematic plate and glide, the scraping metal parts wore down the sharp stamping edges and are running smoothly now. I can now run nineteen 86' boxcars at Speed Step "125". I can even crawl eight cars backwards at speed step "3 to 5". I am very happy with the new 86' boxcars after the run-in period.

The video shows my basement "Valley of Bridges" layout dual mainline and the incomplete upper reversing loop. I might talk myself into finishing the layout after some modifications.

Last night and tonight I have been taking the kinematic plate off the cars and wiping the excess oil from the assemblies. I am also taking photos incase I want to list some of these cars. My medium size layout cannot handle all of my cars.
