Near as I can tell, it's a home made track for the Polar Express. When wired up properly, the lights light up when the train crosses the track; one theory is that it's supposed to represent going across the ice...

Regarding the newsprint links the looks by the children were so innocent and children's moments were surely captured.

I visited the shots numerous times.

Layout us is a great focus for the visitors
