Here's something I missed out on at York.......
In the Brown Hall, at the west entrance, there was an older gentleman who used to have a stall where he sold used and new books on transportation and military subjects. He was always very helpful. I usually found some out-of-print book that I wanted or something that just piqued my interest.
The last two Yorks, he wasn't there. I don't know his name. I had spoken to him for many years but didn't take the time to know his name. Since he was an older gentleman, I can only hope that he has retired.
What this has taught me is that I shouldn't miss out on the opportunity to talk to people. Sometimes, you don't know when they're not coming back.
