I’ve separated the shell, and washed it in warm water, and brushed it with a soft brush, and mild soap. A good rinse, and then I thoroughly dry it with my wife’s hair dryer on low. It’s a rare case when I do, as I often brush loose dust off them every month or so, again, with a soft brush. The rest of the fleet sits in a bookcase or three, and doesn’t pick up much dust.
