As a young teenager, my mother would take me to train stores all over Long Island to search out trains and tell me stories about her Lionel Winner train and life during the great depression. These are some of my favorite memories of her and I am so glad to have them as she passed away when I was 16.
To me, trains are memories of friends and places, each one having its own story, but still part of this great thread of mine for the last 50 years.
