It should be noted that Lionel only has a copyright on the orange/blue color combination and NOT on any of the original tinplate colors such as "peacock" and "terra-cotta". MTH has, and can continue, to reproduce Lionel tinplate in any of the prewar Lionel original colors if they choose to do so.
