Yes, timing belt pitch, belt width are both important. What is the full string printed on the belt?

I think MXL so SDP-SI is one place to search for small belts and gears http://shop.sdp-si.com/catalog/?cid=p470

Further searching MXL 0.8 pitch, 18 tooth is about 11mm OD (0.438in), however bore size is 0.188in = 4.7752mm

You might either bore the one you have or more searching.

That is the full string on the belt 37.6MXL.  Thanks for the link to sdo-si.com.  I think this is the correct pulley.  http://shop.sdp-si.com/catalog...?id=A_6N16M018DF3004 based on metric instead of inches.  Everything matches what I measured.

I can definitely drill the flywheel.  The current pulley has a shaft adapter in it...but I do like the set screw idea.  If I bought the above pulley, I think that would work and it would be cheaper than sending my stuff off to be done by someone else.
