Reply to "What's the best way to remove a flywheel"

OK, so I took the motor out of the engine and neither the flywheel or the pinion pulley have a set screw.  Doesn't matter anyway, since the old motor has a 3mm shaft and the new has a 4mm shaft.  So where is the best place to purchase a flywheel and pinion pulley.  I counted 18 teeth on the pulley and the diameter of the pulley where the teeth are is 11mm.  Anything else I need to know when I order the flywheel and pulley?  Thanks

Yes, timing belt pitch, belt width are both important. What is the full string printed on the belt?

I think MXL so SDP-SI is one place to search for small belts and gears http://shop.sdp-si.com/catalog/?cid=p470

Further searching MXL 0.8 pitch, 18 tooth is about 11mm OD (0.438in), however bore size is 0.188in = 4.7752mm

You might either bore the one you have or more searching.
