What Would be the Correct Engines to Pull the Milwaukee Hiawatha?

What would be the best choice of engines to pull the Milwaukee Road Hiawatha? I'm concerned about the last version with the sky-top lounge observation car and in traditional Milwaukee Road orange paint. Would they have been pulled with E units or F units?
