The GOLDEN WEST SERVICE GVSR/SSW covered hoppers are Pullman-Standard 4785 CU FT covered hoppers. They are similar but not identical to the 4750. Perhaps they will make this scheme eventually.

Many of the Golden West hoppers were repainted in Sioux City, IA about 15? years ago at Transco Railway  Service (current name). I don't remember what it used to be called. This place even does kosher cleaning of cars.

We see so many grain cars around the area it takes a owner's listing to know who owns the cars. With three majors through here (BNSF, CN, UP) and several rock trains (D&I). Coal, however, is down but this time of year grain, grain, grain.
