Whatever Happened To That Guy Who Was A Teacher & Started A Modular Club At His School?

I was thinking of him today and the club he started at the school he taught at. I remember it being a big topic here a few years back with regular updates and haven't heard about it for a while. I believe his name was Thomas Conte? Anyone happen to have any updates?
