I'm a bit dim today. I don't understand the Pink Floyd reference. confused Is it a thinly veiled reference to Roger Waters and David Gilmore putting aside all their differences to join Nick Mason in his current band "A Saucer Full of Secrets?" which in other words translates to "when pigs fly". Perhaps a play on the lyrics of the song Eclipse - "When an engine comes from Atlas O, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon?"

On a serious note, I just acquired 2nd or 3rd hand 11 comet cars and two AEM7s from a fellow forum member and friend and the tooling is still competitive with many trains you see new on the market today.

It's hard to predict the future in this industry, especially O scale. I won't begin to opine on something I have no knowledge about and simply enjoy the locomotives and cars I currently have from Atlas O.
