Where in the world is Monaca, PA?

Well, actually it's about 15 miles due west of me across the Ohio River (roughly) from the Conway Yard.

The wife and I had a case of cabin fever and decided to tool around this afternoon.   Here are some photos of an interesting ex P&LE railroad bridge.  Just happened to catch a westbound CSX freight crossing it as well.

As opposed to my favorite bridge across the river at Steubenville, these piers are constructed of cut stone.  Interestingly enough, they do appear similar in shape and size.

Hope you enjoyed our little photographic journey!
