Reply to "Which Legacy locomotives can't be "lashed up" with other models?"

Any Legacy locomotive that uses the BEMF board will probably not play well with those equipped with the RCMC boards.  Any RCMC equipped Legacy locomotive "should" play well with other RCMC equipped locomotives.  I've also lashed up the older modular Legacy with the R4LC & DCDS with RCMC equipped locomotives successfully.

FWIW, only a handful of O-gauge Legacy have the BEMF board, I recall the LM Class-A, and the aforementioned 0-8-0.  There may be a couple others, but not many.  Lionel caught some flak for the BEMF, that was originally designed for America Flyer Legacy.

Remember, there were two runs of the 0-8-0 yard goats.  The 1st run (Without wire tethers.) have the RCMC boards and can be lashed up.  The 2nd run (With wire tethers.) have the BEMF boards and can't be lashed up.

The others that I know of with BEMF are the Heisler and the LioneMaster Class A.   Of note is that the Legacy Shays have the RCMC boards, but can't be lashed up with non-Shays due to gearing of the locomotives.  Other then that, as long as they are all setup as Legacy locomotives in your Cab-2, all other Legacy locomotives should run together, AFAIK.
