I have the Lionel M1a and it is my favorite loco. Lionel put a new smoke unit in for me last year and it is a great runner and puller. And as said earlier, the deep sounds are fantastic. If you can get one, grab it! I also have to look at the pilot, I was not aware that they break easily..
