Bluelinec4, Ben I will use the ethernet port to connect my computer to each WIU to upgrade the firmware when MTH releases it... I generally upgrade my router firmware using the ethernet port and I find it to be more reliable than upgrading "over the air"... That's one specific use for the ethernet port
