Reply to "William Ogden Coleman, Sr. and American Flyer - The Rest of the Story"

NWL - It is fairly common to find the same vignette for something  (building, train, etc.) used over and over again with only minor modifications in all manner of printed material (particularly in anything prior to WWII).

   If you look at the two images of the building from the 1903 and the 1913 invoices they look to be the same cut with just some minor modifications.  My guess would be the reason for not changing the height of the building when the changes were made for the 1913 plate was the issue of reworking an existing plate as opposed to making an entirely new one.
