The MTH PS2.0 system has the same 10 wire plug in the draw bar board. The new PS3.0 system has a smaller I think 6 wire plug in the draw bar board. I own a few and so far pretty reliable.

I also own a JLC N&W Y6b. It came with the wireless IR system, while its nice, I opened it up and gutted it to my surprise there were huge boards in both the boiler and tender. No way they will fit that in a small American 4-4-0.
