A better choice would be to use J2 connector. As long as your not using this connector for another purpose it would work fine for your application. The J3 connector is the interface to use the original # 6931 dwarf signals if needed. For the J3 connector to be active JP-1 would be connected across the shorting pins. Unless you are using the dwarf signal I suggest you use the J 2 connector. If you have a question you can reach me at 908-687-0880 Ext 7142 and I can explain in more detail.
