I took a Dremel cutting wheel and cut off the strips connecting one track to the other on the bottom side of the crossover. I'm using 2 MTH Z1000 Transformers that are in phase with each other for my two separate tracks. I cut the mainline and kept the strip in place for backing into the yard as that train would obviously be going slower.
